Escape the hustle & bustle and reawaken your five senses, step through the doors of CasaCinco.
Modern hospitality for today’s discerning traveller. A private house hotel in Vejer de la Frontera
CasaCinco is a ‘Casa Rural’ (small country guesthouse) set 200m above sea level in Vejer de la Frontera, 10 minutes from the virgin beaches of the Costa de la Luz.
Vejer has all the amenities of a country town, including restaurants, café bars, shops and a smattering of historical monuments.
CasaCinco is a townhouse with a Moorish past and was once a run-down ruin. Now sympathetically restored it retains many original features, including its internal Arabic style ‘Riyadh’ (open-air internal courtyard).
At CasaCinco you’ll experience relaxed but personal service, stylish and comfortable surroundings and informal dining that fuses the best local dishes, with the modern trend for the ‘gourmet - nomad’.
Nearby attractions and activities:
The Town
Vejer has Moorish origins.
The Catholic Church is supposed to have been built on the site of the Arab mosque and the castle boasts a fine example of a Moorish horseshoe arch.
The Christian reconquest of 1250 bequeathed high stone walls, battlements and town’s once gated arches. Traditionally Spanish, Vejer is a place where time is measured differently and is a great base for touring.
Shopping
The tradition of artisan / shop remains alive. Age-old practices like basket making and the craft of hand made wooden furniture can still be seen. A small band of modern crafts people have also begun to set up shop.
Eating and Drinking
Vejer has some good traditional restaurants serving solid local fare without fuss, as well as a few more stylish establishments. There are also a few good café / bars where you can enjoy convivial conversation.
Out and About from Vejer
Costa de la Luz Beaches
