With some parts dating back to the 15th Century, El Reces retains traditional rustic character, whilst being renovated to high specification with the latest fixtures & fittings. Rooms are very spacious with individual features such as terraces or balconies and all have private bathrooms, fridge, tea & coffee facilities, breakfast area & thermostatic heating. Accommodation options include single, twin, double & family rooms with extra beds or baby cot. Rooms are positioned off a central stairway leading to the top floor guest lounge & rooftop terraces, which enjoy views over the village and scenic countryside. Facilities include English TV & DVD. Tapas bar & typical Catalan restaurants are found in the village & nearby town La Bisbal is a main ceramic centre.
Good road routes to the Costa Brava coast, Girona, Barcelona, Figueres, the Pyrenees & France. Bus routes to the village & train station in nearby village Flaca, give access to main towns & cities, but it can be advisable to have your own transport to fully enjoy the local area.

Golf Lessons: Jane Fernley, PGA Golf Professional. Hourly lessons for individuals or groups can be booked privately with Jane. Golf School Packages available all year.
Horse Riding: Local stables cater for the novice - experienced riders. Lessons can be booked on a group or individual basis. Rides by the hour – day treks to the coast.
Watersports: The best diving can be found off the Medes Islands. Lessons can be booked on a day or weekly basis. Also windsurfing, water-skiing, sailing, kayaking.
Boat Trips: View the sea life around the Medes Islands in a glass bottom boat and have a go at snorkeling. Cruise along the coast to Roses & Cadeques on a daytime or evening trip.
Waterparks: Aquadiver Water Park at Platja d’Aro.
Skiing: The ski resort Vallter 2000 is at the start of the Pyrenees. Great for a day trip - 90 minutes by car. All ski equipment can be hired & lessons pre booked.
Walking: The best costal walks can be found along the cliffs close to Begur & Palafrugell. Countryside walks from village to village. Follow the signposts which include ‘km’.
Cycling: Extensive signposted routes throughout the Baix Emporda. Flat or mountain rides for all levels of cyclist. The old disused railway lines ‘greenways’ are also popular, routes include, Girona-Olot & Girona-Sant Feliu de Guixols.
Quad Bikes: Quads and Segways at Gualta for excursions for adults & children.

Directions:

Corca is near La Bisbal d'Emporda, located on the C66 Girona - Palamos road, midway between Girona city and the coast. From the C66 turn into the old village & Carrer Major is directly in front. No. 31 is on the left past the town hall.
